Lifestyle changes (in food)

Some of the changes that one needs to incorporate in his/her lifestyle:

  • Reduce the portion size of the foods
  • Reduce intake of salt and sugar
  • Reduce the quantity of oil/ghee being used
  • Reduce the intake of carbohydates (like wheat, rice etc)
  • One's body needs protein and this can be obtained from
    • Low skim milk
    • Low skim paneer (cottage cheese)
    • Dal (lentils)
  •  Practice some form of physical activity daily (walking, cycling, swimming) 
  • Try to use stairs instead of lifts
If you observe the above, there is no mention of a crash diet above.
These are small changes in your everyday lifestyle to ensure one can have long term effects to good health.
